Batteries are found in all sorts of consumer devices, and electric vehicles (EVs). ReMA has training, talking points, and other resources to help recyclers remain aware of the latest information regarding electric vehicles and lithium-ion batteries.

Battery Safety

Batteries are found in all sorts of consumer devices, from small “button” batteries and personal care products (electric toothbrushes, razors), to electric vehicle (EV) batteries. Consumers need education on the potential risks batteries pose during use and when improperly placed into the recycling stream—including fires during transport in recycling facilities.

ReMA has training opportunities, talking points, articles, and other resources to help you stay aware of the latest news and information regarding electric vehicle and lithium-ion batteries as well as mitigating potential risks to your employees and business.

Circle of Safety ExcellenceTM

The ReMA Circle of Safety Excellence ™ (COSE) is an initiative offered by ReMA to help improve worker, vehicle and facility safety within the recycling industry. The COSE members consist of like-minded companies which voluntarily come forward to share best practices and safety data for the betterment of their own safety operation, and at the same time be recognized by ReMA for their commitment to safety.
