Andrew Lincoln Named Recipient of Great Lakes Regional Robin K. Wiener LAKES Award

Andrew Lincoln has been named the third recipient of the Robin K. Wiener LAKES (Leadership, Achievement, Knowledge, Excellence and Service) Award, presented by the Recycled Materials Association’s (ReMA) Great Lakes Regional affiliated chapters. Lincoln received the award on Wednesday, August 19, in Sandusky, Ohio, during the ReMA Great Lakes Regional Conference.

Lincoln is a managing partner at Erie-based Lincoln Recycling, a ReMA member company, and a third-generation leader in the recycled metals industry. With more than 25 years of experience, his responsibilities span human resources, operations, trading, finance, and environmental health and safety. Lincoln was introduced to the industry as a child—weighing in customers and, once he got his driver’s license, collecting UBCs from local bars. He attended the University of New Hampshire, earning a bachelor’s degree in economics while competing on the Division I ski team, and later completed his MBA at Babson College before returning to Erie to join the family business.

Lincoln has been an active volunteer leader within ReMA, serving as president of the Pittsburgh Chapter and taking on national leadership roles, including co-chair of the State Legislative Subcommittee and the Finance Committee.

He is also deeply engaged in his community. Lincoln currently serves on the boards of the Sisters of Saint Joseph Neighborhood Network and the Erie Cemetery Association, and previously served on the board of Junior Achievement of Northwestern PA. To help educate Erie’s youth about recycling, he hosts an annual Earth Day “What Recycling Means to Me” coloring contest for students in grades K–5. Lincoln was also instrumental in working with ReMA chapters to establish the Great Lakes Regional Conference, a three-day event that brings recycling industry leaders together.

Named in honor of ReMA President Robin Wiener, the inaugural recipient of the award, the LAKES Award recognizes a ReMA leader who serves as a role model in both their professional and personal communities.
